Actually, I agree with you about Emma, I had a close friend with an ED and she was hospitalized after she got to the point where she couldn’t eat because her stomach would literally reject the food, causing her to vomit whenever she ate. She was slowly rehabilitated back into eating, but she had to be supervised very closely when she ate and given simple foods in the beginning (such as crackers, or maybe fruit, but nothing over-the-top). It’s been a year and she’s thankfully recovering very well, but I do agree with your Emma point. Call me out if I’m wrong, but I just think she isn’t portrayed accurately, especially, as you said, because she lives in the hospital and seems perfectly fine to me, and as you said, her meals would be supervised. See, I know the show is still somewhat inaccurate, but when Kara’s parents(? i think i got this wrong) were discussing the transplant, they said she was at the bottom of the list because she did a bunch of drugs. And Dash is smoking marijuana (which is technically a drug, even though it’s medicinal, he doesn’t actually need it for treatment), which would both put him further down the list for a transplant and is bad for his lungs. (Also, I’m not entirely sure what’s wrong with Kara. I think she broke her neck or something, but they don’t make it clear what she did besides the whole heart thing, but they’re not really doing anything about her heart, like monitoring it. You probably should do that if someone’s heart is failing.). I can admit, some of the writing, at least in the pilot, can get really confusing. The idea of the show is pretty cool in my opinion (don’t yell at me for this), but the show itself would be better if the characters (especially Dash and Emma, I don’t really have anything against the other characters I guess besides Kara’s kind of confusing. and I know coma boy is inaccurate but I like the perspective okay don’t judge me) were portrayed more realistically, I guess. Also, Jordi just walking into the hospital and being all “yo chop my leg off” and everyone’s just “lol ok” is just weird. also I’m sorry if I sounded really immature before, I’m not really sure why I chose to use an anime as my poor argument haha. Also, not to mention the romance in the pilot feels…forced. I guess thanks for the anons, they opened up my eyes a little bit, got me thinking (but yes, I am stubborn and will watch the second episodes to see if I like it more than the pilot, which I feel crammed too much in which may be why some of it was inaccurate or confusing, especially with Kara.).

(2) I just feel as though they are doing more damage than good. They are portraying our lives as something so fake and it's offensive. I am legitimately angered by the way this show is being written and the support it's getting from disabled and non-disabled people. It's frustrating when it's your life they're showing in such an inaccurate light.
